July Paddle Social - Spencerville to Leo on St. Joseph River

Location Spencerville Covered Bridge - Co. Rd 68 (Mill St) Spencerville, IN 46788

Board member Cara Hall will be hosting our July paddle social traveling down the peaceful St. Joseph River from the historic Spencerville Covered Bridge to the Cedarville Reservoir. You will likely encounter turtles, blue heron, a possible muskrat, beaver, or even bald eagle, Bigfoot, a bear, a skeleton in an outhouse, and a ton of fish!

This is an easy float, but it is a longer one so come prepared with sunblock, water, and a snack!

Time: Launch at 1:30pm
Put-in: Spencerville Covered Bridge - Co. Rd 68 (Mill St) Spencerville, IN 46788
Take-out: Steady Eddy's Station - 14436 Leo Rd Leo-Cedarville, IN 46765
Total Miles: 9.5 miles
Estimated Paddle Time: 4-5 hours

If you have your own boat you can stage a vehicle at Steady Eddy's Station or if you prefer to utilize the free shuttle email cara@fwoutfitters.com who will shuttle you back to your cars after we paddle. (This is subject to change depending on the number of people who are utilizing the shuttle. Cara will communicate with you if any changes are required in the days leading up to the paddle)

If you need to rent a boat you can do so at www.fwoutfitters.com by choosing the Steady Eddy's location and choose the "Bigfoot's Covered Bridge Tour". If you are renting, please plan to meet at Steady Eddy's at 1pm so they can transport you and the boat to Spencerville for the 1:30 launch.
