Mallard Roost 1 / S Branch Elkhart River ~ SR 6

The first of three access sites located within Mallard Roost Wetland Conservation Area, owned by the IN Department of Natural Resources:Division of Fish and Wildlife, this access site is the beginning of 3.5 miles of uninterupted wilderness on both sides of the river.  Along the way you are sure to see a variety of awesome NE Indiana Wildlife including deer, beaver, muskrat, raccoon, river otter, an array of birds and more while floating downstream through the conservation area.

This site offers parking, a concrete boat ramp, but no other ammenities.
